Matthew A. Ray is Counsel to Warren Kalyan & Mattocks. Mathew is committed to achieving the best results for his clients by developing efficient, innovative solutions to their legal problems. A native South Texan, he received his Juris Doctor from the University of Texas School of Law in 2017. While a law student, he clerked for state agencies and litigation firms in the Austin area. He learned early in his legal career that extensive case preparation, sound legal analysis, and zealous advocacy are the tools for successful legal representation.

Prior to joining Warren Kalyan & Mattocks, Matthew practiced as a trial attorney for a personal injury firm in Austin. During this time, he independently handled cases from intake through trial. He achieved settlements in hundreds of cases through effective preparation and shrewd advocacy. His engaging demeanor and willingness to put extra effort into navigating clients through the case process both put his clients at ease and maintained their confidence in his exceptional work.

Matthew’s experiences have translated into continued success as an attorney with Warren Kalyan & Mattocks. His focus is on representing owners and managers of multi-family housing properties. He has in-depth knowledge of landlord and tenant law, housing discrimination defense, and the litigation process. cHe collaborates frequently with colleagues and clients alike to maximize efficiency and produce outstanding results.

When he is not at the office or representing clients in court, Matthew enjoys staying active by exercising, venturing outdoors, and enjoying Austin’s food scene.
